Miguel Payan, Founder & Senior Advisor

Based in the Washington D.C. metro area, Miguel Payan is an accomplished business executive working at the crossroads of business strategy, clean technology enablement, and operations. Having worked as a Management Consultant, as well as an industry leader, his professional background spans many industries, functional areas, and geographies.

Miguel has held executive leadership roles across some of the world’s most esteemed organizations, including McKinsey & Company, the Samsung Group, Honeywell International, and Ford Motor Company. True to his entrepreneurial roots, he co-founded Voltera Power and obtained funding to execute on a multibillion-dollar business plan to site, build, own, and operate strategically located, fit-for-purpose EV charging facilities around the world while making zero-emission transportation at scale a reality. Currently Miguel advises entities in the mobility space on the topics of strategy, operations and M&A.

Miguel received his MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, and his Computer Engineering undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois. He is a former U.S. Marine and served in combat as an enlisted machine-gunner.
